Cycling enthusiasts will get a chance to ride with the wind in their hair and the bay beneath their feet as they participate in the annual Bike the Bay community bike ride across the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge.
This non-competitive ride is 25 miles and will take riders across a mostly flat and scenic route around the San Diego Bay using the Bayshore Bikeway.
They’ll travel through Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City before returning to the Embarcadero Marina Park downtown for a well-earned, post-ride festival.
There are rest stops and snacks along the way, and the festival features food trucks, entertainment and a beer garden.
Bike the Bay: 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday beginning and ending at Embarcadero Marina Park South, 200 Marina Park Way, San Diego. $65-$70. bikethebay.net.
